Greasemonkey 0.5 has been released.
If you've been concerned about the recent
security issues but didn't want
to upgrade to the "neutered version" this is for you.
The new version executes user scripts in a "sandbox" to make it difficult for malicious pages to mess with your user
scripts, and removes the ability for GM_xmlhttpRequest to read local files. It also makes it more difficult for pages
to block user scripts. Be sure to read the
announcement, which includes some warnings for script writers for maximum security.
