People have commenting about the lack of a good comprehensive library for JavaScript for years now. Inspired by the
CPAN archive for Perl, JSAN (the JavaScript
Archive Network) is a library of open-source scripts and
a tool for including them.
JSAN "allows JavaScript to behave more like traditional programming languages", according to its documentation. If
you're a Perl programmer, you'll feel right at home, and if you're not, you may find that the
installation tool brings a great deal of unnecessary
Perlness to JavaScript. Nonetheless it's nice to see more good JavaScript tools to add to our arsenal. Here's
more from Kevin Yank at Sitepoint.
