Everyone's talking about the Ruby on Rails framework,
which makes it easy to create web applications.
Now JavaScript has its own answer to Rails. Steve Yen, whose Tales on the
Trimpath JavaScript weblog often boggles my mind, has created
TrimJunction, an MVC (model/view/controller) framework for
JavaScript based on Rails.
He's also created an example application, Next Action, a
to-do list manager that works offline entirely in JavaScript. Click "Show me the Code" at the bottom of a page, and you
can edit the code. Steve has a 10-second tutorial to get you started.

1. That is the proverbial dogs bollox. Absolutely brilliant. As a JS afficiado and as someone who regular has to defend the language against digs from supercillious Windows developers, I could happily point that out as a superb example of how capable JS is. Eat your heart out Powerbuilder.
