The Sony PlayStation Portable has made a tiny bit of
web news recently when it was discovered that one of its
games includes a built-in web browser. It's limited
to a particular site, but with a bit of DNS hacking you can coax it into displaying any web site.
Steve at SlayerOffice has
taken a close look
at the PSP browser. It turns out that it does support JavaScript, albeit in a circa 1999 fashion. He's compiled a
complete list of PSP supported object properties. Soon we'll be
writing our own JavaScript games for the PSP, although they'll look
like this until the browser is improved.
